December inflation edges up to -0.93 percent

HARARE, January 17 (The Source)- Zimbabwe’s annual inflation for the month of December gained 0.16 percentage points on the November rate to -0.93 percent, the statistics agency reported on Tuesday.

Month on month the inflation rate in December was up 0.04 percentage points to 0.06 percent, Zimstat said.

While the country experienced deflation throughout 2016, authorities have projected inflation to average 1.1 percent on an annualised basis this year.
