BULAWAYO, July 25 (The Source) – Zimbabwe’s trade exhibition organisation has launched a sector-specific exhibition for energy, water and sanitation as the country seeks new investors in the capital intensive amenities.
The new Zimbabwe International Trade Fair initiative, known as Water, Sanitation and Energy Expo (WASHen), which will present opportunities for investment, joint ventures and technology transfer in the country, ZITF general manager Noma Ndlovu said at the launch on Thursday evening.
The inaugural fair is scheduled for 25-26 September at the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo.
“Sale of exhibition stands has begun; the expo is targeting exhibitors in the areas such as sourcing, extracting and storing water; water supply; treatment for potable water among other sectors,” Ndlovu said.
Apart from the flagship trade fair held annually in April/May, the ZITF also runs at least five other major exhibitions – tourism showcase A’Sambeni, Mine Entra for the mining, engineering and transport industry, educational expo Scholastica, PrintPak for the printing and packaging sector and Ultim8 Home for homebuilders.
